This week I took some ideas that I found online and wrote them down. I also got the paper I would need for this project. I found a book that has step by step instructions on how to make 21 different animals along with some helpful tips such as what fold is what and how to do them. I have a very blank wall in my room that feels too bland so I think when I'm done I'll hang them all there and make a scenery, like a 3-D picture. That is a good way to fill in space. The animals I think I’ll be doing are rabbits, frogs, fish, doves, cranes, raccoons, and butterflies. I’ll also try to make some flowers like lotus and tulips. Other objects would be tables, chairs, hearts, stars, and boats. A problem I might run into is the origami sticking out too far where it looks tacky but since the paper I have is 5.9in x 5.9in I think it’ll be okay. I also wanted to hang or just stick some butterflies onto my light shade because it looks like this: I love butterflies and having them around my flower shaped light shade would make it look really cute. My only worry with that is it being a fire hazard so I’ll have to ask my parents if it’ll be fine since they’re on the outside of the shade. On my wall I’ll have the fish on the lowest part then where I think the water surface would be I’ll put the cranes, boats, and lotus. Then I’ll have some tables and chairs where some little animals could sit. Around them would be some hearts, more rabbits and raccoons, and some frogs along with some tulips. In the sky portion I’ll have doves, butterflies and stars to complete it. That is what I’m envisioning so far but I might make changes throughout the project.
